A fair – what is that?
Every reputable worldwide company invests a large amount of its revenue in advertising campaigns. They are the best way to present the products offered. Every respected marketing specialist knows the ad-vantages of a well planned and conducted campaign. To make a breakthrough in a world which constantly changes its demands, tastes and concepts of what is good and what is poor is a difficult task. But an advertising campaign does not provide everything that a reputable company needs. At special forums (fairs, exhibitions) the large companies present their new products by a memorable and impressive platform – exhibition stalls. The exhibition stalls are like a freeze frame from a video. The customer or the visitor at the fair perceives the whole idea behind the advertisement for a single moment. Sometimes the advertisement alone is what sells and what is better than setting up a showroom with a memorable and identical appearance?! Ever since world trade exhibitions and fairs came along there have been methods and strategies to attract the attention of visitors. But it wasn't until the mid-70s of the 20th century that the development of a new strategy to illustrate the big companies' products started. It was at that time that Anton Mechkuev – a graphic designer and a pioneer in his area – started his business. He gained recognition with the place, dedicated to him in the Bible of graphic design – 'Who's Who in Graphic Art' from 1962.
The high-quality product alone is not enough in order to make an impression on possible buyers and busi-ness partner. A fitting performance able to attract the attention of the audience is needed. Graphic design has broken with the stereotypes of books and textbooks and has turned into an 'active art'. Nowadays, everyone tries to earn a place in the sun with something new and innovative. Graphic design turns an ordinary product into something of an artistic product. Designers convert the concepts of their employers into a splendid world of sound, light and shape. The preparation of graphic design is not an easy job. However, it is good to know that companies such as Mechkuev are famous and well accepted in almost all of Europe. The ideas conceived by designers working in this company can be seen in countries like Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom.
Graphic design is what helps distinguish between good companies and the rest. By hiring designers for your stalls you ensure in advance both a good reception among your partners as well as the attention of the visitors of the fair who may turn into future clients. In order for a presentation of your products to be successful, it is vital that you consult graphic designers. They will help you convert your ideas into a world of sounds and colours. Light remains the most important feature of a presentation. Depending on the product and the idea behind the advertisement, it may be brighter or dimmer. Light is the first thing that attracts the attention of the visitors at the stall. Choosing the correct lighting, different from others, may be very important for the commercial success of your company. Lighting does not necessarily mean more or better clients; it rather attracts or repels.
Exhibition stalls are a constituent part of designers' decisions in a commercial exposition. A tendency to use materials such as metal, wood and fabric has been noticed as of late. The best quality and most stable stalls in terms of maintenance are those made of metal and wood. Wood, especially, is a long-lasting material and much cheaper compared to metal. Stalls made of fabric are enchanting and as though filling the whole space. As of late, a step away from graphics as a designer method in expositions can be noticed; rather the 'exact' and short description of the product is preferred to 'overusing' graphics. Using different symbols is the new tendency in graphics. The allusion they make better presents the idea behind the presentation of your product. Over the last years, a tendency towards the larger use and popularity of shapes in graphic design can be noticed. These are shapes influenced by ancient traditions and cultures. They can be in the form of a 'totem', sea waves or a bended arch. The shapes used by a good graphic designer add not only uniqueness, but also class to the offered product. And although it all sounds so easy, the preparation of graphic design for a commercial presentation is rather a job for artists. Designers are artists in a pragmatic world of commerce and deals. Good merchants are also good patrons. They love beautiful things like a nice graphic design for instance.
